The group arrived at the last stop of the trip: Xishuangbanna, Yunnan, and launched a four-day Xishuangbanna Station Boundless Art Charity Tour.
Through the communication between the volunteers and Mr. Liu from Jinghong Special Education School, the team members were able to interact with the children for two days. After some simple but meticulous preparations, everyone arrived in Jinghong on the afternoon of June 21. City Special Education School, and had a pleasant afternoon with the children there.
Since the volunteers faced children who were blind or amblyopia, the volunteer team also tailored a special artistic creation method for visually impaired artists. On the first day (June 21st) afternoon, the volunteers mainly taught the two art forms of the children:paint with texture paint and wool glue.
Because of the visual impairment, those children can't distinguish the pigments of different colors very well. In order to let the children feel the existence of color, the volunteers mixed the salt in the white pigment, and squeezed the color pigment into the pigment plate as it was (the salt were only placed in the white pigment for the purpose of distinguishing White and colored pigments).
Although the whole class has two eyes with no light, all blind children need to choose the paint with the help of volunteers, but some children can still see some blurred images, so they can also choose different colors of pigments. . Each child has used his imagination to create colorful paintings, such as painting landscapes, characters, or food, and a series of realistic art. After the creation, each person's hands were covered with paint, and even some children's faces also had some colored spots, but after looking around, everyone looked at each other to reveal the sweetest smile!

🍁 At the end of the day, the volunteers returned with full enthusiasm. In the memory, there were laughter and laughter from the children. They also had a firm expression when they solved the knots. They also had the experience of completing the works together, which will be the most beautiful memories!
⭐️ On June 22nd, the second day of the Banna station, the volunteers once again came to the Jinghong Special Education School and brought the materials needed for the event. On the afternoon of the day, the volunteers and the children performed activities to blow bubbles and planks.
☀️ Everyone is no stranger to blowing bubbles, but this time, after hearing the volunteers explain the unique way of blowing bubbles, some children seem to have some doubts, and some children slightly show their resistance. Because blowing bubbles requires two people to cooperate, a child blows out, or uses a waving arm to pull out the bubble, and another child picks up. Although the volunteers explained that the bubble burst will leave a beautiful colored water mark on the paper, some children still have some concerns about the invisible bubbles and the inconvenience caused by the visual obstacles in the creation process. With the help of volunteers and teachers, the children were divided into groups, and they took turns to blow bubbles and pick up bubbles. Everyone from the beginning of the strange, timid, to the excitement of the later, happy in it; can let the children harvest so much joy from them, the volunteers look in the eyes, I feel happy!

🎹 During the break, the volunteers heard soothing singing from the next classroom. Into a look, several blind students are playing the instrument, a lead singer is singing his "brightest star in the night sky" with his gentle voice. The volunteers were very pleasantly surprised, both because of the beauty of the music, and because the song brought us back to the summer of last year. On the day of the hot sun, several members of the team came to the same classroom and listened to the blind. They played with a song:
🎹 " I pray to have a transparent mind
And tearful eyes
Give me the courage to believe again
Cross the lie to hug you
Whenever I can't find the meaning of existence
Whenever I am lost in the night the brightest star in the night sky
Please guide me close to you "
That afternoon, the members who volunteered for teaching felt the enrichment of music for the lives of these children. The children’s faces flashed with pride and their fingers moved flexibly between the keyboards. At the end of the music, the smiles on the faces of the children were printed in the hearts of the members. After that day, volunteer Echo still cares about the children, and she silently vowed to see that smile. Therefore, she wanted to combine her favorite field, art, to bring special children a sense of accomplishment and happiness. After a year of preparation and recruitment, she was able to stand in the same classroom this year and teach students to create art. She heard the laughter of the children, like her memories.
The last activity is also the crowning touch of the trip - the board is winding. The creation method is specifically to outline the edge of the pattern to be created by inserting the pushpin on the cork board, and then wrapping the colored cotton thread between the pin of the fixed point to achieve the purpose of "coloring".
(Volunteers put the thumbtack on the disposable cup in advance)
The materials in your hands are: cork board, pushpins, cotton thread. In order to prevent the children from being pinned by the thumbtacks, the volunteers carefully inserted the pushpins into the disposable paper cups, and then placed the paper cups with the pushpins on the corresponding positions of the children's desks. Some children started to be confused. I don’t know where to start. After a brief exchange, the children have fully exerted their imagination. Starting with a certain number of pushpins to draw out different shapes and patterns, everyone groped for a circle. Or twist the thumbtack diagonally to connect the dots into a line, showing a very artistic picture!
During the period, a blind child accidentally touched the sharp thumbtack, his hand was stabbed, and he was so painfully shrunk under the table that he dared not touch her work again. At this time, a volunteer sister walked behind her, holding the two little hands of the children under the table with both hands, and whispered a few words in her ear. It may be infected by the temperature from the sister's hand. The child, under the leadership of the volunteer sister, gently but firmly stroked the sharp thumbtack and grabbed the wool again to start winding her work. Come on!
For ordinary people, the sun that is visible every day before alum is a common everyday; But for this group of visually impaired children, the sun is glaring and can't wear the thin, but unbreakable barrier. Compared with the glare of the sun that ordinary people don't like, the visual impairment causes these children's physical inconvenience and the limitations of enjoying life may sting them more sharply. God closed a window for them, but behind the door is a colorful collection of thousands of worlds. As we are more fortunate, should we stand up, open our eyes, sharpen the sharpness of these pleasing children, and open the locked door; Let the world better focus on and encourage this group of special artists with keen judgment, imagination, and creativity!
